In association with Young@Heart Netherlands Heart Institute Meeting in November 2018 in Utrecht, The Netherlands, Rio Juni has won a price for the contest of communicating science to people. The contest aimed to challenge 5 selected abstract presenters to translate their research in an attractive and informative way for the general people to understand. The rationale of the contest is that a clear and effective communication of research findings is crucial for the development of the career of a researcher since it helps to gain public attention, secure grants, and connect with fellow scientists. In addition, research needs to be understandable and appealing for the general public to justify what scientists do with the public’s money.
